Teo Nguyen 54 x80 2

Teo Nguyen

Teo Nguyen was born and raised in a fishing village in Vietnam, the son of a poet and a glass painter. Nguyen moved to the United States when he was sixteen years old, and in his work, he takes into account both the culture from his country of origin, as well as that of America: “There is beauty in the reverence that defines the culture of my ancestors, but also in the brave and unapologetic curiosity of my adopted homeland.” His large-scale paintings range from abstraction to photorealistic landscapes. He likes to sketch on the prairie, and he aspires to create moments “when ordinary things become remarkable and beautiful.” He studied art and design at De Anza College (Cupertino, CA); Fresno State University; and École des Beaux-Arts (Paris).

Born and raised in Madrid, Ruben Sanchez comes from the worlds of graffiti and skateboarding. His painting palette is vibrant and evokes vivacious living, his sculptures are gorgeously rounded in striking monochrome, and his black and white works are contemporary cubist tableaus. Sanchez will be exhibiting new works in spray paint on canvas this fall, and he will be in attendance from Europe to meet and discuss his works. His artwork can be found in exhibits and collections throughout the world, including Denmark, France, Turkey, Spain, Bulgaria, Canada, the US, Greece, Hungary, and Jordan.

Renault grew up in a musical family on a farm in the Belgian Ardennes. At age 14, she traveled abroad alone; lived in Venezuela on an exchange; then spent two years in Brighton, England. Pref Alex Geoffrey The Last Thing I Cooked Wasnt That Great 60x48 2022 spray paint on canvas

PREF

Pref is a British artist well known for his multi-layered typographic-style graffiti, and his incorporation and exploration of common words and key vernacular phrases. This multi-layering means that an element of deciphering is introduced, and the viewer is asked to disentangle images and meanings from the artwork. He initially trained at Chelsea Collage of Art, before going on to work in graphic design. The clear linear elements of his work, and his evolving interest in typography trespass across the borders of fine and graphic art in energetic and intriguing ways. He was recently commissioned by Italian fashion house Fendi to design new logos and branding, as well as lend his skills to the collection, Roma Amor.
